Ordering An Instrument
You
are purchasing a custom instrument, so each order and the manner in which it evolves is different. This page will give you
a general overview of what to expect.
The "Alice Series" and "Classic Series" instruments change only in woods, electronics,
hardware, and finishes. I can give you a fairly accurate cost quote once these items are specified. These specifications can
be done via written correspondence (e-mail, snail-mail). A $500 deposit is required on these instruments.
The "Custom
Series" are one-of-a-kind instruments. Generally, I consult with clients at my shop to work through the schematic design process.
During the schematic design process the project variables are discussed- woods, electronics, hardware, and finishes are determined.
A $200 fee for the design consultation and schematic design is required. Upon approval of the design, payment is required
for 50% of the estimated cost of all materials and labor.
Once construction is approved, changes may be made by written
"Change Order" only. Usually, additional costs result from Change Orders.
Upon completion of the instrument, the balance
due is required along with payment for a case or gig bag, applicable sales tax, and prepaid shipping and insurance.
Payments
by cashiers check, bank wire transfer, or postal money order are accepted. At this time I do not accept credit cards.
Delivery
upon completion is immediate for customers picking up their orders. Shipping is completed within 3-5 days of receipt of balance
final payments.
